Sulby Ward in the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology is the centre for the delivery of complicated chemotherapy sessions which can last between one
and five days.
Sulby is also used to care for patients who are suffering from side effects of chemotherapy which need supervision. The Ward needs total reconfiguration to bring it up to modern standards and provide the kind of facilities which will be uplifting for cancer patients.
CANtreat is working in partnership with Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, and the Teenage Cancer Trust to bring about these changes and include a designated unit for young people.
Plans are at an advanced stage to provide single and shared rooms with en suite bathrooms, incorporating the latest technology and modern designs with views extending over the local countryside.
